Pow Wow Pitch, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs, is proud to announce the growth of its partnership with Community Futures Development Corporation of Central Interior First Nations (CFDC of CIFN) as a Co-Presenting Partner of the Kamloopa Pow Wow Pitch.
Pow Wow Pitch, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering Indigenous entrepreneurship, is thrilled to announce the continuation of its partnership with MINI TIPI to empower emerging Indigenous entrepreneurs at the upcoming Summer Solstice Pow Wow Pitch in June 2024. As alumni of Pow Wow Pitch, the co-founders of MINI TIPI are excited to give back by sponsoring, judging, and mentoring the next generation of Indigenous business leaders.
“MINI TIPI is super excited to be part of Pow Wow Pitch,” said Trisha Pitura, Co-founder of MINI TIPI. “We’ve actually pitched three times, participating as entrepreneurs. To see the progress we have made from the opportunities we’ve received from Pow Wow Pitch is unbelievable. We love and support everything that Pow Wow Pitch does for entrepreneurs to give them that space and stage to stand out, dream big, and tell their story. This year we really wanted to allow entrepreneurs to have more opportunities, so MINI TIPI has given three prizes of $1,000 each, from entrepreneur to entrepreneur, to lift each other up and to see us all succeed together.”
Trisha and Mélanie, the founders of MINI TIPI, are business partners but they are also close friends. For them, “entrepreneurship is not just about creating a business. It’s about creating a legacy,” said on the Pow Wow Pitch Podcast.
Tonight, Pow Wow Pitch, a non-profit organization supporting and celebrating Indigenous entrepreneurs, announced nine Award Winners from across Turtle Island at the 2nd Annual Indigenous Entrepreneurship Awards, co-presented by RBC, Shopify, Meta and Mastercard in partnership with Export Development Canada and the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada.
