Pow Wow Pitch, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs, has successfully completed another strategic collaboration with Carleton University’s Sprott Student Consulting Group (SSCG), focused on enhancing the organization’s communications strategy and systems. This recent engagement centred on deepening Pow Wow Pitch’s understanding of its audiences and strengthening the tools and processes that guide its communication efforts.
On November 12, 2025, Pow Wow Pitch and Invest Ottawa proudly came together to host the Indigenous Entrepreneur Awards through a Mentorship & Watch Party event, uniting Indigenous entrepreneurs, mentors, and community supporters for an inspiring evening of connection, learning, and celebration.
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, Pow Wow Pitch, co-presented by RBC and Mastercard, and with local presenting partners Joint Economic Development Initiative (JEDI) and Women in Business New Brunswick (WBNB), announced Douglas Paul, Founder of Road Dawgz BBQ Snack Shack, from the Kingsclear First Nation as the 2025 Elispogtog Pow Wow Pitch Winner. The First Nation-owned business has won $5,000 for their business and will advance to the 2025 Pow Wow Pitch Grand Finale where they will get the chance to win the grand prize of $25,000.
