Keisha Perrin of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg steps into new role to support Indigenous entrepreneurs

Pow Wow Pitch, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs, is proud to welcome Keisha Perrin as the newest member of our team. A proud Anishinaabekwe from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, Keisha joins Pow Wow Pitch as Programs Coordinator and has already hit the ground running—joining the team in time for the first stop on this year’s Pow Wow Pitch Trail at the Manito Ahbee Pow Wow Pitch, taking place this Saturday, May 17, 2025, in beautiful Treaty 1 Territory, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Keisha brings a wealth of lived experience, professional knowledge, and deep-rooted cultural values to the role. As the granddaughter of Residential School Survivors, she walks with intention, honouring her late nishomis Clifford Ottawa and kokomis Florence Odjick, and carrying forward their legacy of strength and resilience. With a background in education, advocacy, and community leadership—ranging from grassroots organizing to federal government initiatives—Keisha’s journey is a testament to the power of healing, transformation, and storytelling.

“I’m honoured to be joining Pow Wow Pitch, where I can bring my heart, my voice, and my purpose to a space that uplifts our people,” said Keisha Perrin, Programs Coordinator. “This work is deeply personal to me. I’ve seen the strength of our Nations in the face of adversity, and I believe in building futures rooted in healing, opportunity, and culture. I’m excited to hit the trail and walk alongside our entrepreneurs as they share their stories and turn their dreams into reality.”

As Programs Coordinator, Keisha will support the delivery of Pow Wow Pitch’s programs across Turtle Island—coordinating programming, building partner relationships, and ensuring entrepreneurs feel seen, supported, and celebrated at every stage of their journey.

“We are thrilled to welcome Keisha to the Pow Wow Pitch family,” said Naomi Sarazin, Executive Director of Pow Wow Pitch. “She brings unmatched passion, integrity, and lived experience to our team. Her leadership will help shape the next chapter of our work, and I can’t think of a better way to kick off the 2025 Pow Wow Pitch Trail than with Keisha by our side—miigwech Keisha for walking with us.”
