Tech 4 Youth Entrepreneur Spotlight
Kashtin Delorme, a 2026 Tech 4 Youth Grant recipient, Owner of KASHT2N Productions, is using photography and videography to capture meaningful moments and preserve important stories. A member of Cowessess First Nation, Kashtin operates his Indigenous-owned visual production business in Saskatchewan, creating high-quality photography and video for events, communities, organizations, and businesses.
Through KASHT2N Productions, Kashtin combines visual storytelling with a commitment to preserving culture and helping others share their stories. His work spans events, promotional videos, photography, and documentary-style projects, with a focus on creating visuals that reflect the people and communities behind them.
As his business continues to grow, Kashtin is looking to expand the types of projects he can take on and strengthen the quality of his photography and videography. Thanks to the Tech 4 Youth Grant and support from Best Buy Canada, a new 70–200mm lens will allow him to capture high-quality images and footage from greater distances. The expanded capabilities will be particularly valuable when documenting powwows, sports, concerts, weddings, and community events where getting physically closer to a subject is not always possible or appropriate.
Kashtin already has a meaningful project in mind for the new technology. Over the next year, he plans to produce a short documentary exploring the history of Cowessess First Nation and the return of buffalo to the Nation’s lands. Through stories from Elders, Chief and Council, and others involved in the buffalo’s return, Kashtin hopes to document its significance to the community and preserve those stories for future generations. The new lens will also allow him to capture footage of the buffalo safely from a distance while strengthening his documentary filmmaking portfolio.
For Kashtin, investing in better technology is an important part of taking KASHT2N Productions further. Moving beyond the limitations of his current equipment will allow him to capture sharper images and video, provide stronger results for clients, and confidently pursue a wider range of projects.
As KASHT2N Productions continues to grow, Kashtin is building his skills as a photographer and filmmaker while using visual storytelling to document culture, community, and meaningful moments for generations to come.
