Canada Post Scales Support of Pow Wow Pitch for the Third-Year to Grow Indigenous Entrepreneurship

Today, Pow Wow Pitch, North America’s premier pitch competition and non-profit organization supporting emerging Indigenous entrepreneurs, announced a new partnership with Canada Post as a Silver Partner for its 2022 Pow Wow Pitch Program.

Set to support more than 2,500 Indigenous entrepreneurs in 2022 with mentorship, funding, training, marketing and a safe and trusted community of support, Canada Post’s investment is helping Pow Wow Pitch to scale its virtual programs, re-enter communities with on-the-ground support across Canada, and scale its programming to support Indigenous entrepreneurs in the United States and New Zealand.

In addition to supporting Pow Wow Pitch as a Silver-Level Sponsor and engaging its employees as mentors, trusted advisors, and judges for virtual pitch contests and on the ground at pow wows across Canada, Canada Post will be available to answer questions related to shipping, e-commerce, logistics and marketing as part of the Pow Wow Pitch Ask Me Anything series.

“Canada Post shares our vision of empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs in cities and remote communities across Canada to use entrepreneurship for reclamation, community impact, and Indigenous-led economic growth,” said Sunshine Tenasco, the Founder of Pow Wow Pitch. “We are delighted to partner with Canada Post for the third year to support Indigenous entrepreneurs starting and growing businesses.”

“As part of our commitment to supporting small businesses across the country, which includes a focus on those in rural, northern and Indigenous communities, we are proud to once again sponsor Pow Wow Pitch,” said Danielle Doiron, General Manager, Marketing, at Canada Post. “It’s so exciting to see Sunshine and her team continue to provide programming and support that creates such community impact. Opening doors of opportunity for businesses to explore and showcase their amazing talent and ideas in a collaborative, creative and supportive environment. We are honoured to be enabling Indigenous entrepreneurs across the country and helping them to start and grow their businesses.”
