Pow Wow Pitch Partners with Rakuten Advertising to Accelerate Growth for Indigenous Entrepreneurs

Partnership provides digital marketing strategies to help business owners reach and convert new customers


Pow Wow Pitch, North America’s premier pitch competition and non-profit organization supporting emerging Indigenous entrepreneurs, has partnered with Rakuten Advertising to help more than 2,500 Indigenous entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses. 

Through performance marketing strategies that engage consumers across diverse digital environments, Rakuten Advertising will provide Pow Wow Pitch Winners with tools and expertise to expand audience reach, convert new customers and build loyal audiences. 

As a Seed-Level Sponsor, Rakuten Advertising will support 10 to 15 Pow Wow Pitch Alumni and Finalist brands through its Grow with Optimism program, which increases access to performance marketing for underrepresented businesses. 

Winners can run affiliate marketing programs through Rakuten Advertising without up-front fees and will be granted cost-free activation with Rakuten Rewards Canada, along with donated media placements.

Set to support more than 2,500 Indigenous entrepreneurs in 2022 with mentorship, funding, training, marketing and a safe and trusted community of support, this new partnership will help Pow Wow Pitch expand its virtual programs, re-enter communities with on-the-ground support across Canada and scale its programming to support Indigenous entrepreneurs.
