The partnership between Pow Wow Pitch and Sklar Wilton & Associates began in 2021 with Sklar Wilton & Associates’ team mentoring Pow Wow Pitch entrepreneurs and evolved into a Seed Sponsorship over the last two years with Sklar Wilton & Associates creating modules for the Indigenous Startup Program, providing mentorship and training of Indigenous entrepreneurs, and supporting Pow Wow Pitch to measure its impact.

Today, Pow Wow Pitch, North America’s premier pitch competition and non-profit organization supporting emerging Indigenous entrepreneurs, announced a national partnership with Sklar Wilton & Associates for its 2022 Pow Wow Pitch Program. 

Set to support more than 2,500 Indigenous entrepreneurs in 2022 with mentorship, funding, training, marketing and a safe and trusted community of support, Sklar Wilton’s investment is helping Pow Wow Pitch to scale its virtual programs re-enter communities with on-the-ground support across Canada, and scale to support Indigenous entrepreneurs in the United States and New Zealand.

Sklar Wilton’s employees will volunteer as mentors for Pow Wow Pitch entrepreneurs, with extra support and mentorship to Finalists one-on-one and through the Finalist Bootcamp program. In addition, Sklar Wilton will partner with Pow Wow Pitch on a Learning Series Webinar, the development of tools and templates for Indigenous entrepreneurs, and an end-of-year Impact Report to support Pow Wow Pitch to quantify its impact on the Indigenous economy.
