The following instructions explain how to successfuly record your video pitch.
If you already recorded your pitch, select the 'Upload your 1-minute pitch' option instead to upload a video file.

RECORD USING MOBILE

Use the following instructions if you are using Google Chrome or Firefox internet browsers on a mobile device:

1) Select the "Record your 1-minute pitch" option.

2) You will have to click the 'Browse' button and select your mobile device's camera.

3) Record your 1-minute pitch and hit stop when done.

4) Select 'OK' to use the recording.

5) Click the '2. Upload' button. Wait for your file to upload.

You have now successfully recorded and uploaded your video.  Click the 'NEXT' button proceed to accept the terms and condition on the following page and click the 'SUBMIT' button to submit your pitch.

RECORD USING A COMPUTER

Use the following instructions if you are using Google Chrome or Firefox internet browsers on a computer or laptop:

1. Select the "Record your 1-minute pitch" option.

2. Click on the Record Video icon.

3. When promoted,

Select your video and audio device from the pop-up and click 'Allow':

You should now see your webcam video.

4. Below your video you will see the record button on the left, time remaining in the center and audio volume on the right.  If the audio meter does not change color when you speak you have not selected to correct audio input device.  You will need to restart your browser and select the correct device.

Click on the record button to begin recording.  When recording has started begin your 1- minute pitch.

5. When you are finished click the stop button.

7. You can review your pitch by clicking on the play button.  You can re-record your pitch by clicking on the record button again.  If you are satisfied with your recording you MUST click on the SAVE button.

Wait for your file to upload.  A 'SAVED' message with flash.

You have now successfully recorded and uploaded your video.  Click the 'NEXT' button proceed to accept the terms and condition on the following page and click the 'SUBMIT' button to submit your pitch.

TROUBLE SHOOTING: If you encounter problems

1. Use a desktop computer (or laptop). A mobile device may also work.  Do no use Safari. Use Google Chrome or Firefox internet browsers instead.

2. Restart you computer if it is slow or non-responsive.

3. Close all other office applications including Zoom, Skype or other browsers and browsing tabs.

4. Stop any heavy traffic on your network such as downloading or streaming.

5. Personal computers on personal networks work best, as sometimes highly secure office computers and networks may have firewalls that prohibit proper connection.

6. Use a USB webcam with a clean lens. Clean your lens to ensure there are no fingerprints.

7. USB microphone or built-in laptop microphone.

8. Wired, or at the very least, a decent wireless Internet connection.
